Personal care is hands-on help with the everyday activities that become harder with age, illness, or recovery. Bathing, dressing, grooming, getting in and out of bed, walking safely from one room to another. The basics that make a day feel like a day.

Our caregivers are trained to provide this kind of help in a way that protects dignity. We follow each client's preferences and routines, not the other way around. If your father always shaves before breakfast, that's what happens. If your mother prefers a shower at night, we work around that.

Every personal care plan is built and supervised by a registered nurse. That means clinical oversight from day one, with adjustments as conditions change.

Common Situations Where Personal Care Makes a Difference

From First Call to First Visit

1

Free assessment

A clinical professional visits the home to understand what's needed and what's already working.

2

Custom care plan

We build a plan around the client's preferences, routines, and clinical needs. The family weighs in.

3

Caregiver match

We assign a caregiver based on personality, skill set, and schedule. If the fit isn't right, we re-match.

An RN reviews the plan every 90 days and adjusts as conditions change.

Questions Families Ask About Personal Care

Will the same caregiver come every time?
+

We aim for consistency, especially for personal care where trust matters. Most clients have one or two regular caregivers with backups for time off.

What if my parent refuses help with bathing?
+

This is common, especially early on. We start slow, build trust, and let the client lead the pace. Many clients warm up within the first few weeks once they get used to the caregiver.

Are caregivers trained for transfers and lifting?
+

Yes. Every caregiver completes training on safe transfer techniques, body mechanics, and fall prevention. We use proper equipment when needed.

Can personal care be combined with other services?
+

Yes. Most clients receiving personal care also get homemaker services, medication management, or companionship in the same visit. One caregiver, multiple needs.
